not a player was playing, not even CJ, the pervert.
The monsters were tucked in their barns with care,
in hopes that soon an update would be here.
The breeders were out with their families or friends,
while mobs took the day off to make amends.
The gods rested, too, with love letters sent out
to Gloria, Shara, and even Syntia, no doubt!
When out from the server did come a news post,
this very one, in fact, so let's draw up a toast.
For Vael came swiftly with surprises in code,
'cuz he dreams of the day MonBre's popularity explodes.
He shouted, "PHP, CSS, AJAX and Flash!"
"jQuery, XML, and your browser's cache!"
"I'm here with an update, so ready yourselves,
and now here it is, carried by Santa's elves!"
Improved Exploring
Noticeably increased the speed of exploring. This is easier on the server now and thus easier on the user. I hope you all like it. Due to this change I decided to remove the energy counters on the top of the exploring page. (for each monster) You can now view the energy, when not in battle, on their skills page. Visually impaired people will not notice this change because it just won't affect them. (your clients don't like iframes very much)
Achievements
Cleaned up the achievements page and added one for killing some dudes.
Cleaned up selecting a monster for exploring. Now it should be more presentable!
Bugs
fixed a dumb display issue when resisting a status effect
fixed some mob inconsistencies (thanks, mob book helpers!)
some other bugs fixed man I don't know

Well this is just a little update with things I've been meaning to do. I felt I had to do something for Christmas, can't just make a news post and be like derp derp. 2010's gonna be pretty great, both for MonBre and MurCity. We may slug along at times, and chances are if you're reading this, you won't be interested enough to play again in 6 months, but if you do you will see a cleaner, happier, and more mainstream MonBre.
Thanks for sticking with the game for however long you have. I've seen some acts of kindness through MonBre's development cycle that warm my heart and in some cases outright surprised me. (I'd never consider making a mob book myself) The small community we have is great and I love you all. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.
