Good Will Tax

In the year 689, Vael presented an idea to the Council of Aerra to aid future financial problems. This was called the Good Will Tax.

Instead of an income tax, the city/town would tax citizens for a set amount. Of course income tax could be in effect, but it didn't need to be with the GWT. It says simply that every citizen who is working 30 hours or more must pay a set amount of money. The tax was agreed on by the whole council, and is in effect to this day. Breeders, being unable to actually put any work hours in, are exempt from this, but are still taxed through income. Some people look down on breeders for not having to pay the GWT.
