Apr 24th - 10:32 | Additions/Changes Genuine Content Propton, and its surrounding areas, are fleshed out now! I hope you like direct-damage elementals. God 8 is there, Mokal, and he's a really fun fight. Trains, tiles, everything's there. I really wanted to flesh this area out (with everything) because currently there's not much fun content at the "end" of MonBre. I keep working on the newbie stuff, but don't worry, there will be quests and tiles everywhere... soon enough.
Forums Made it possible for topics to be moved. (admin-only) Replaced some smilies and made it so emoticons don't ruin the text.
Money I've rethought money a bit. It's obvious that working is a bit overpowered in terms of money. (especially for the dedicated people, especially if their monsters do well) So... Working money has been reduced a bit. From 200 bux easy, to 150 bux. 400 bux hard to 300. From 600 bux very hard to 500 bux. Now in exploring, there is a 1/30 chance (if a mob did not drop an equip) to get a "money item". As an equip, totally worthless. You sell it for moneys. The quality of the equip depends on the mob's Combat Power. There are two kinds of money item, uncommon and common. Guess which is worth more.
I worked a LOT on monster art. There's a new skin for a monster I really hated in the normal line. (it just looked really dumb) I spruced up a lot of others, made them more unique and generally just looking better.
Put trains going from Endlesberg to Insula and Zudali to Endlesberg. Now you don't have to traverse the weak mobs to get to the good stuff. (though I personally think you're missing out on the fun mobs near Pezes)
"God" abilities now have +7% chance (20% total) of activating.
Poison has been weakened: will now do 5-10% of max HP, vs. 8-12%.
Adult form has been changed, it now only takes 31 days (vs. 35) to be a full-grown adult. The exp bar will now update based on age, so it's more reflective of when you can actually evolve.
Hovering on food in the home page now tells you how much your monsters eat.
Thanks to Buttes Guye for drawing another NPC, this time the lab girl!
The stats in raiding have been adjusted to reflect current stats. The blob form is now a lot more powerful, and all inherent bonuses the golems get come after the guild's item bonuses.
The world map has been updated with a few minor tweaks, and now we show plains. (which unfortunately ended up looking like map-AIDS)
Transmuting equips for SRP in the guild is slightly more profitable now.
Updated the referral page, it's got our new ad I'll be using some time in early May for another ad campaign.
Mail and the forums now have dynamic titles for the pages. (new topic will make the title "new topic")
The inventory page has been spruced up.
Bugs Sometimes the forums would give you a second page if you had the exact number of replies. (25, 50, 75 etc.) Monsters weren't cured of status effects upon leaving exploring. They are now. Fixed a rare occurence where sometimes mob buff abilities would not go through.

04/24/2009 22:32 | Today was "MonBre Day" in which I did nothing but MonBre 'cuz I felt we needed a healthy update. I spent a lot of time during the week drawing the monsters, and it made me realize just how much I like coding in comparison. ><
I plan to actually have a LOT more emoticons in the future, and I mean a lot. I found a template thing so it's even like I can custom-make them, which makes me very happy, and it's fun!
I've also got a special side-quest (after being inspired by Pokemon Special) to try to get more of a story for MonBre. Memorable characters and stuff. There's already some systems in place.

04/24/2009 23:06 | Maybe add in somewhere that working is designed for "quick cash," as opposed to exploring which should get you more in the long run? It just seems to take a really long time to get money from working when you're only seeing a couple hundred each time, which seems odd when you're under the impression that working is the best way to get money.

04/25/2009 00:50 | Most people play MonBre using one monster for exploring and all the others for working, so 150 each time might not sound like much, but if they do, say, the hardest work, they'll get 500 bux. * 4 monster = 2,000 a day, if they have that many.
I kinda regret not forcing people to use only one monster during exploring, because that's all people do anyway. I could've worked it out so there was a third "thing" other than working. Maybe working out on the ranch, who knows. Maybe I'll even have that third thing one day? Who knows!

Would there be any room for more house upgrades? I'm not really sure what you'd add in, though. Not like training equipment and stuff like that, but just like... I dunno. Hire a chef, get 5% of your bux back when you buy food. Hire a monster groomer, extra mood or some such.
Neither of which are house upgrades, but I just kinda drew a blank there XD

04/25/2009 23:25 | Great update, knocked off Mokal he loves his poison and been cruising around propton, its great to have something more up there... I think its good that working money has been reduced i think u could reduced equip sale prices alittle as well i make a killing off them.. easy money...
Also got 6000ish srp of Mokal thats huge..... Keep up the good work...

04/26/2009 12:10 | Yeah I usually like to have the boss battles be as epic as possible. If you notice, the newer gods have more than one ability. Maybe if I can live off MonBre one day, I'll give more abilities to more mobs.
