Mar 25th - 08:44 | isn't it annoying when one sec ur fighting lvl 10 monsters and the next you get killed by a monster 3x that lvl
i was traveling from the silvermed to arbustus and for half the trip i was fighting lvl 10ish monsters and when i reached a certain point i get attacked by a lvl 3? something(i forgot the second digit and mob name) and was wiped out
all i ask to to give some warning signs of tougher monsters and/or make the increase of danger more subtle and/or if there's a safer path to get to a new town, pls help others (like me) find it

03/25/2009 09:15 | A level 30? o.o; There's not even any spawns near Arbustus that are level 30. Which direction were you going, and do you remember what kind of mob it was?
I'll see if I can think up a power level for the areas.

i think i was at the 600-700/(what ever first towns y cord is) minimap... i think

03/25/2009 22:33 | I think I know where he means, it's supposed to be the desert I think? There's giant vultures, dunerippers, vizarohs? It's to the west of Silvamed/New Orsa, I think from like 500-700 and from 900-1000. I died from poison before getting past 1000, but I assume it goes up farther.
There weren't tiles there, when I was there. I made the same trip as he did, saved up some nice SRP for my main exploring monster.

03/26/2009 09:52 | That's what I was thinking. I'm actually going to put danger signs and stuff there. I don't see why he would be going there if he was to hit arbustus, though. That's west of New Orsa completely, when she should've been going southwest.

03/26/2009 18:58 | Could've been going west as much as needed, then south after that? I'd be more surprised if it was to the east of New Orsa, myself.
Would those be tiled danger signs, or a page that says WARNING, THE AREA AHEAD HAS STRONG MONSTERS?

2:rakki is right. i was going west then south and the fact that i didn't head south led me to the desert and the monster was a giant vulture cause it was a bird
3:i took a more direct path and problem solved
update: i'm now at the first town with port in the name
