May 11th - 11:40 | I have taken various steps to rid us of this beast:
* closed connections THAT SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE CLOSED BUT MY SERVER IS LIKE 5 YEARS OLD (srsly)
* cleaned up my server: tons of people had like phpbb3's running every night which would cause database resources to fly high.
etc. etc. if you see it again, either post here or mail me. Also just refresh.

Dylan's experience doesn't actually matter 'cuz we have to wait like 8 hours.
BUT EVEN BETTER! I just checked the front page - I was connecting on three scripts. One for ip banning, one for news, and one for people logged in. Golly. I hope that helped too.
Edit: Wow upon reflection it would not surprise me at all if that was exactly it... :o
