May 13th - 07:24 | What's your strategy? Either long-term game-wise, or just stat-wise on one specific monster, or just anything at all you're planning out.
Personally, I always like to keep things balanced, rather than powergaming the hell out of it. Sure, an all luck critsin on Ragnarok Online might outdo me in DPS, but I'll have more hp and resistance to status effects and defense and whatever else vitality does, and more dodge (less perfect dodge but screw that shit), and more attack speed, and more actual regular damage despite lower damage output in the long run.
Being the best is kinda fun and all, but I feel like it ruins the experience to use the game's formulas and stuff to try and get ahead simply for the sake of getting ahead. I understand that that's what PvP is all about, but I've never been big on PvP anyway.
Game-wise, I had an evil monster for my first explorer, then spliced it with a good monster so I now have a good exploring monster, who will be spliced with a normal monster to get a normal, who will then be spliced with an evil monster to get an evil monster. After that, it's all single splicing for that guy

I balance all my stats except for Constitution in which I focus on more, this way I can do reasonable damage, hit and dodge a reasonable amount but I will last a long time.
I'm like a tank, my defence is higher than my attack but don't underestimate me.
Also, I find the Worker type very reliable espescially since it's a good balancer

05/19/2009 05:43 | I'm not sure how the first attack is calculated with the new PvP system. Having defense is probably in your best interest now, because even if you have a massive amount of attack I think you'd need a second attack after you take out their blocking... Don't quote me on that one, though.

05/20/2009 15:07 | Well, only if you take a long time. Every 4th round, your stats decrease a bit (or maybe it's just evasion and defense? I forget) and stamina helps counter-balance that. I think.

08/22/2009 19:04 | Lately been cuttin' down on the luck 'cause i only get minimal gains in all the stats except for speed out of it, been focusing on strength, const and agi lately, with a sprinkle of stamina. Before that, I always made them ALWAYS equal. I know luck gives you more crit, but you can upgrade it AND its damage when you get skill points; takes all the hassle, and I love battle cry 'cause it makes you go BOOM!!!!! and I curse myself for wasting 2 on war tactics 'cause the dFense and dodge is already good. I'm already adult on my big explorer, and he still has 35 days left 2live, that's beasty, ehh??? Stamina does do like the max hp more than the const in most cases, plus the speed abit and a tiny bit of attack, and maybe some defense but not a lot. Speed is fun but it only is good once you've left the city or town you were in because the other guy's speed is pretty comparable to yours and you have to have twice the speed to even gain anything from that second attack because it never happens, any even though it does happen on infinitely weaker mobs you might only get 1/2 or 1/4 srp off of them so what's the point?
