04/29/2010 21:56 | Hey guys, I'm just wondering, COMPLETELY OUT OF INTEREST... not that this is going to happen for real or anything. But what if I restructured monbre a bit, but that meant I had to reset everyone's account? Would that be okay with you at this point?
MonBre has some serious design flaws, and things like cutting the world in half (coordinate-wise) and a few other things are making it seem like the best choice I could make in this situation is spend about two months coding the game to be a bit different. At its core it would stay the same. Anyway, tell me what you think.

Going back to lvl1 would be a setback but it wouldn't mean the end of he world, but I worked really hard to train my monsters and do all the quests that I just don't think it is worth doing it all over again. And I would lose my chimera.

Vael stole 1984 D: That's ok, though.
I'm cool with whatever if it helps out the game, but maybe people's monsters could be reset to default stats? So they'd keep their chimeras and breeder level, but have to train up and see all the quests again. Painful, but good for the game because newbies wouldn't have to compete with c-level 500 people.

I really like my monsters, I don't really care about my breeder level, or having to do the quests over again, but I'd really hate to lose my monsters, and my guild (even if it's a pretty lame guild).

04/30/2010 15:54 | The thing is there actually is a decent amount of imbalance already... there's money everywhere, the economy when I release the 'black market' may not be that great. I want to do other things too, like redo the quests so they're more like a single-player RPG with chat bubbles. I think I'd give you folks bonuses dependent on how many gods you've beaten, but beyond that, most would have an "all reset".
It's just at this point, we have very few remaining players and that is a product of the game's poor design. I'd be much more comfortable changing things and not having to worry about the strong folk. I dunno. I mean even if you don't agree now, maybe in three months (when I plan to come back) you will just be like "meh".
It just seems like something that has to be done for the good of the game. :/
